Cat Breed of the Month: The Balinese

Appearance: The Balinese, also known as a Javenese, has a semi-longhair silky coat, he also comes in several ditinctive printed colors. The Balinese is a direct member of the Siamese and is basically a long-haired version of the Siamese. It has a long, lean body and blue, almond shaped eyed with a rounded body type and a apple shaped head.

History: This beautiful cat originated in the United States. A long-haired Siamese was first registered in 1928 in the UK, but they only began to breed themin the US in the 1950s. These long-haird Siamese cats were recognized as an official breed in 1961. The breed was named the Balinese because the breeder was reminded of Balinese temple dancers whenever she saw her cats.

Traits and Temprament: The Balinese is described as demanding, affectionate, playful, and energetic, similar to his Siamese cousin. This cat has a highly inquistive nature and needs lots of feline and human company.

Grooming: Since the Balinese only has a one layer coat of fur, it doesn't need as much management and grooming as other longhaired cats. Weekly brushing is good for much cats and wouldn't hurt you Balinese, it may even help your cat, there would be less hairballs and less chance of matting.

Health Related Issues: As of yet there are no known health related issues concerning the Balinese.Like all cats, the Balinese should get regular vet check ups.

Question of the Day!
Does the Balinese fit you and your lifestyle?

Cat School Supplies

I have been noticing a lot lately, how much cat school stuff I have. I mean there is so much of it, most people just stare at it in amazement and wonder how I got all of it. It is really easy, especially for a person with cat sensors who can detect a cat and cat related items in a 30 mile radius, to find cat stuff. Plus I get a lot of neat stuff from my friends who have cat stuff they don't know what to do with. Even my biology teacher gives me cat stuff ( or at least plans on once she finds it). Whenever my friends see a cat or something cat related they always tell me about and say that the thought of me when they saw it. Even my theatre teacher commented that she never hears my name used in as entence without cat in it! Here are some pictures an comments of my cat schol stuff:

First off is my cat bag. What type of bag is it?

A PENCIL POUCH OF EPICNESS! It is super cool! I love it a lot.
It has two sides to it! I got it from a friend who bought it at some Asian festival! My geography teacher pinched the cat's head during class... is that a good or bad thing?
This is my daily planner! I got it at Half Price Books for $3!

Here it is on the inside, which reminds me I have a math packet to finish for tomorrow...

My yellow English cat folder.

My pink cat homework folder.

And last but not least my cat binder for theatre!

That's all my cat school stuff, but that doesn't include some odd cat stuff I bring to school everyonce and a while (cat magazines, pencils, small stuffed animals, etc.)

Question of the Day!
Do you have any cat school supplies?

Cat Introduction Video!

First video with Mausi and Daddycat, I would have added Zille, but he was in my sister's room and she would not let me in.... I am excited about it, though now that I look back it may be boring to some, but seeing my cats on the big screen (or should I say computer screen?) is a lot of fun! So sit back, relax and enjoy! I was scared that this video was going to be laggy, because when I was watching it on Windows Live Movie Maker, it didn't go fast and took small pauses! But all has gone well!

I know the video is kinda shaky, but it is hard to do it one handed. Some places you can't see what's going on because it is dark, sorry about that! Since it is my first video it is kinda hard to get everything right. Also yesterday when I was spacing out in Healthy Lifestyles I realized that the initials of All My Cats are AMC, like the tv network! And DMZ stands for Daddycat Mausi Zille! Maybe the only way to unite the Koreas is to bring my cats there, and then peace shall be restored! Ha ha, well enough of that I will do a new video soon!

Question of the Day!
What did you think of the video? Also one more thing, do you think my hand looks bloated and red on screen? It sorta looked that way on screen, and judging my hands right now they don't look bad, I don't know, maybe it's just the lighting...

Bonus Video!
The Adventures of Mausi: Episode 1

Right after I finished posting this I heard Mausi under my bed I decided to film it and show off some of her crazy antics. When I do these cat videos I realize that I sometimes talk to the cats unknowingly. LOL I say stuff that I don't remember saying. That's totally normal right? Ha ha hope you enjoy, also in the video you'll hear some huffing and puffing and that's because I am moving stuff out of my way so I can get a better view of Mausi. And I say "Caught in the craught" no idea what that means either. Enjoy!
